He's also hosted several radio and cable television shows.

Bill's interests and experiences are more Eclectic than most. The son of an Air Force Officer, Bill developed an interest in the paranormal as a young child after hearing a number of UFO stories from pilots, several astronauts and other credible individuals who shared their experiences with his father. Among them was Chuck Yeager, the famous Air Force Test Pilot. Despite impressive credentials and lots of flight time, these people were unable to explain things they saw and photographed while in flight. But that was the least of their problems after reporting a UFO sighting.

Each time First Responders or Miltary personnel reported seeing or experiencing something out of the ordinary, the Government would claim they were mistaken or worse. This had the affect of leaving people responsible for the lives of others and those trusted to fly multi-million dollar aircraft looking like idiots. As a person with great respect for these heroes, Bill was troubled by the government response and resulting defamation of these good people.

Despite Government denials regarding the credibility of UFOs as anything more than swamp gas or misidentified objects, an increasing number of serious journalists, authors and scientists began to take a second look at this phenomenon during the 1960's. This resulted in a number of books published by credible sources who disagreed with U.S. Government conclusions regarding the phenomenon.

Bill read his first book about UFOs at the age of nine in the mid-1960's. It was entitled, 'Flying Saucers: Serious Business.' Written by a credible journalist named Frank Edwards, the Author took a second look at the physical and photographic evidence, as well as eyewitness testimony, available from UFO sightings and encounters. Edwards came to the conclusion that UFOs were much more than just misidentified objects in the sky or figments of people's imaginations. And he wasn't alone.

Bill's teachers in Elementary and Junior High School knew that when it came to book reports, his would likely be the most interesting. That's because he always chose books written about UFOs or other paranormal subjects. They were impressed that he chose to read and report on books written about the paranormal by noted scientists, journalists, investigators, ex-military, skeptics and believers.

Despite many who felt UFOs were nothing to be concerned about, the number of scientists and journalists who felt the subject deserved further investigation grew consistantly during the 1960s and 1970s. So did public interest. It was during the early 1970's that Bill Knell started a UFO Club at his High School.

Although it started as an after school project for extra credit, Bill's UFO Club soon became a phenomenon itself. Although he expected just a few students with similar interests to come and sign up for the club at the first meeting, over 150 students, teachers and even the school principal showed up. All had stories to tell about UFO sightings including the principal who was an ex-marine. He had seen several strange objects during military service in Vietnam and was told not to report it by his commanding officer.

Because so many who ultimately joined the UFO Club wanted to get more involved with the subject, Bill put together a small group of students and a few teachers to begin investigating sightings reported to the club. These reports came from club members, peers and the local community which had become aware of the project through articles in the school newspaper and several community publications.

Bill and the others presented their findings at the Club gatherings. One of these meetings was attended by a reporter from a major local newspaper who later wrote a major article about UFOs, the club and Bill. As a result of that article, Bill began to receive invitations to appear on local radio and television shows. He was also contacted about speaking engagements and that began his career as a professional speaker.

As he expanded his investigations and lecture programs to include all areas of the paranormal after high school, Bill found himself being invited to speak throughout North America and in various parts of the world. Before and after many of those engagements, Bill appeared on radio and television shows thereby exposing his work with an even wider audience. It was during these times that Bill began to notice problems in the workplace. He had seen this before.

While growing up in the New York City area, Bill often went to work with his father during summer breaks from school. After leaving the military, Bill's father became an Accountant and later a Vice President of a New York City company that rented and sold construction equipment. The company had provided equipment for the construction of several buildings at the New York World's Fair and later received a large contract to provide equipment for the construction of the World Trade Towers.

Bill became a welcomed visitor to his father's workplace as he learned to operate most of the office equipment and eagerly helped out by answering phones and taking messages. There never seemed to be enough help, despite sincere hiring efforts. Bill appreciated the money he earned for that work and still considers the experience worth far more. He was able to observe, first hand, the conflicts, relationships and problems apparent in a busy workplace. This left a lasting impression.

As a result of these influences, Bill Knell has developed two major lifelong interests and careers. One is as a noted paranormal investigator, author and speaker. The other came from the experiences Bill had at his father's workplace and, later, the need to work closely with people from diverse backgrounds in various educational and business environments. People wanting to improve their business and personal lives have found value in Bill's advice as a professional speaker, writer, business consultant and entrepreneur. And for good reason.

While attending Junior High School in Florida, Bill set a record by achieving the highest score on a Statewide Civics Exam ever received. That record remains. As a professional speaker presenting college and university programs, Bill Knell has broken attendance records at many schools once set by David Copperfield, Jay Leno, The Beatles, Howie Mandel and others. Bill served as a security consultant and specialist to former NYC Mayors Koch and Lindsay. As a paranormal investigator, Bill acted as a consultant to the films Men in Black, Independence Day, The Fifth Element, Fire in the Sky and War of the Worlds (to name a few).
